Robot Simulation
Explosive ordnance disposal teams use remotely controlled vehicles when direct human contact with an object is too dangerous. As the vehicles are not always available and learning how to operate them is not easy, virtual reality is used for vehicles such as tEODor, telemax or PackBot EOD.
SZENARIS therefore developed this training system, which enables practising the operation of the vehicles. For this purpose the realistically simulated vehicles are integrated into a wide range of virtual scenarios (car, bus, aircraft, buildings, terrain etc.).The vehicles are controlled with the original control devices. The simulation includes all vehicle functions such as driving, arm movement, gripping function, camera and lighting as well as shooting with a shotgun or a waterjet gun, a so-called disruptor.
