Dr. Uwe Katzky (SZENARIS Managing Director) elected member of the board of the DRZ
The German Rescue Robotics Center is a competence center funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for the research and development of mobile robot systems for civil emergency response. The center emerged from the efforts of the non-profit association “Deutsches Rettungsrobotik-Zentrum e.V.” (DRZ e.V.). Since 2018, the DRZ e.V. has been pursuing the goal of promoting the development of robotic systems for the rescue and protection of people and property. The focus is on research and development in the field of rescue robotics and the corresponding vocational training, rescue from life-threatening danger, fire protection, occupational safety, civil protection, and accident prevention. The association also promotes networking between emergency services, users, companies and research institutions.
Dr. Uwe Katzky, Managing Director of SZENARIS GmbH, was recently elected as a new member of the board of the German Rescue Robotics Center (DRZ). SZENARIS has been developing simulation solutions for robotics for more than 10 years (including training systems for tEODor, telemax, PackBot EOD, Seefuchs). Dr. Uwe Katzky was therefore visibly pleased to be welcomed as a new member of the Executive Board: “I am looking forward to this task and, together with the employees of SZENARIS, I will provide support in particular in matters of training, further training and education.”
