SZENARIS at LEARNTEC 2020 – a Complete Success
This year’s LEARNTEC ended with record figures. A significant increase was recorded both in the number of visitors (+ 34 %) and in the total number of exhibitors (+ 20 %).The enormous popularity also has an impact on the future of LEARNTEC: The organisers are planning an additional third hall for 2021. LEARNTEC thus once again underlines its importance as Europe’s most important trade fair for digital education.
Another highlight was this year’s LEARNTEC congress, which also saw an increase in participation (+ 12 %). Numerous speakers presented their selected keynotes, such as Irene Oksinoglu, Head of the Future Work initiative at OTTO, or Reinhard Karger, company spokespersonof the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).
The new stand of SZENARIS in the immediate vicinity of the AR/VR Arena was also very well attended this year. Numerous interested parties were able to get to know and extensively test the latest developments in the fields of e-learning and (extended reality) simulation. Various virtual reality simulations developed by SZENARIS, e. g. a training system for dyke defence, which was developed on behalf of the research department of the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW), caused great enthusiasm.
Managing Director Dr. Uwe Katzky sums up:
“We had really exciting discussions with existing customers and also many new interested parties. Competence-oriented learning and the combination of e-learning and VR simulation are very attractive topics for many training managers. I am sure that this trend will continue in the coming year”.
LEARNTEC 2021 will be held again at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre from 2 to 4 February.
