SZENARIS Develops Learning Module “Export Control” for steep GmbH
Export control is of central importance in the area of foreign trade. It helps ensure that companies adhere to applicable legal and regulatory requirements when exporting goods and services. These requirements can vary depending on what is being shipped to which country. By complying with export controls, companies can avoid legal trouble by ensuring that products or services are not sold or supplied to individuals, organizations or countries that are on the sanctions list or subject to an embargo. Export control thus falls under compliance, which is the process of adhering to legal and regulatory requirements in order to protect companies from penalties, contribute to an ethical corporate culture, and protect reputation.
For this reason, the Bonn-based company steep GmbH commissioned SZENARIS to develop a learning module to train employees on compliance with laws and regulations in the area of export control and to raise awareness of the topic. Among other things, the learning program addresses affected supplies and services, the individual steps of the export control audit, responsible bodies and contact persons, as well as the applicable legal framework. The program offers interactive learning content with illustrative examples as well as quizzes to deepen the learners’ understanding. In addition, easy-to-understand language was used for this complex topic. By addressing typical cases and pitfalls, for example, everyone is made aware of this topic.
By completing the program, employees will be able to understand and implement the basics of export control and contact the right people when necessary to reduce the risk of penalties and violations of legal regulations.
