“Wuppertaler Schwebebahn” Training System

SZENARIS has developed a training system for the Wuppertaler Stadtwerke (WSW mobil GmbH) to instruct the driving personnel of the Wuppertal suspension railway in the operation of the trains and in the functions of the new ETCS train control system. The training system consists of a combination of a learning programme and simulation. The learning programme part covers the theoretical basics. In the simulation, the driving personnel can practise with the virtual trains in the six-workstation training room set up by SZENARIS. For the simulation, both trains and the entire line have been realised as 3D models, and original control devices were integrated to ensure a training experience that is as realistic and sustainable as possible.
